The Department of Computer Technology, MIT Campus, Chennai invites the application for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate  to work in the project " Location based Bursty Event Detection during Crisis Events from Social Media" for a period of 32 Months .

Duration                                : 2.8 Years (32 Months)

Educational Qualification    :    1.First Class in M.E. / M.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Big data Analytics / Equivalent) with a strong commitment and motivation to pursue research in the subject area . 

2. A. 2. a) Qualified in CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. 

                                                                  (Or) 

b) Qualified in National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Salary Per month : Rs.31000 + 24% HRA  (as per SERB norms)

Name of the Post : Project Associate – I 

Educational Qualification    : First Class in B.E. / B.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Big data Analytics / Equivalent) with a strong commitment and motivation to pursue research in the subject area.

Desirable : Proficient with data analysis and processing large datasets using libraries such as Pandas 

Languages: Python, R and Julia 

Good communication and analytical skills  

Salary Per month : Rs.25000 + 24% HRA  (as per SERB norms)
