The Department of Mechanical Engineering , Government College of Engineering , Thanjavur has organized the FDTP " Metrology and Measurements (ME8501)  " on 13th May to 18th May 2019 .

Topics :

1. Need of metrology, errors in measurements and standards 
2. Concepts of interchangeability and selective assembly 
3. Angular and linear measuring instruments 
4. Concept of lasers in measurements, coordinate measuring machines, machine vision system and computer aided metrology. 
5. Measurement of straightness, flatness, roundness, thread and gear measurements,
6. Measurement of force, torque, power. flow and temperature  

Eligibility :  

Faculty members working in any of the affiliated colleges Under Anna University can attend this program .
