Genetic algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization: Hands on training using MATLAB is to enrich the participants on the basics of the Optimization Approaches. The Performances of Particle Swarm Optimization and Genetic Algorithm have been applied to find solutions for several Engineering problems. This Workshop is to make the participants gain complete knowledge on the implementation of these two optimization approaches using MATLAB.

This workshop has emphasis to provide a platform for interaction and to discuss about the recent advances, new paradigms, technological trends and challenges in the field of Genetic Algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization: Hands on training using MATLAB. Also this workshop provides an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas on the topics of importance along with thought provoking technical sessions.

LaTeX is an extremely powerful mark-up language for creating structured documents. It is particularly well-suited for documents containing mathematics, but can be used for any document. Those whose publications involve a large number of mathematical equations often use LaTeX rather than word processing package. It is the standard writing tool for most research in the mathematical sciences. LaTeX provides a facility for pdf output also. Remarkably, LaTeX is freeware

Wireless communication has made an enormous impact in our lives. Human-to human communication on mobile wireless devices has become the preferred mode of communication in modern times.  Wireless communication between devices has also become commonplace today, as in the examples of inter-vehicular communication to avoid traffic congestion and accidents, or communication between two robots. In the future, one expects the Internet to include an even larger number of things, such as coffee cups and umbrellas, changing the way we lead our lives today. Texas Instruments offers a number of semiconductor products to enable wireless communications, both human-to human and machine-to-machine. In this workshop, the intention is to provide the participants an overview of the semiconductor solutions for low-power RF communication.

Happy Engineer’s Day!!! - 15th September




India is celebrating Engineers Day Today, which is celebrated every year on September 15 to mark the birth anniversary of Sir M Vishweshwaraiah.




Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshwaraiah was a noted Indian Engineer of all times. He was also honoured with India's highest honour Bhata Ratna in 1955. Vishweshwaraiah was the man behind the flood protection system. He served as a chief engineer during construction of Krishna Raja Sagara on the Kaveri River near Mysore. Several dams still functioning were built under Visvesvarayya.
